K SERIES
side blanks can be adapted to take metal ducts, uPVC duct or con-
duits and are manufactured from pre-galvanised sheet steel. Brass
terminals are provided for earth connection on the base plate.
The frame, trap and ratchet are manufactured from UL94V-O flame
retardant ABS material which provides the box with strength and
durability. The die cast pillars and polyamide carpet trims are the
load bearing components of the box. The trap frame is secured to the
basic box using a ratchet arrangement, hence making installation
and removal easier. K-06
The reversible frame incorporates a unique ratchet system and is
designed to self-adjust to any normal floor finish thickmess. Hand
operated ratchet bars, that provide quick efficient installation and
emoval with out the need for tools, secure the frame.
A steel reinforcing plate is placed in the snap-in lid or trap, which is
reversible, and readily detaches from the frame when accidentally
kicked or knocked. The trap has a 7mm recess to accommodate car-
pet or similar floor finishes.
A retractable handle provides access to the interior of the floor box.
the trap and frame of the floor box have an easy-to-clean texture as
well.
Detachable cable retainers guide wires to nylon cable grommets at-
tached to the lid. The grommets lock in position when cables are
present, thus preventing snapping of cables.
A wide range of inter-changeable accessory plates that can accom-
modate power, data and telephone outlets are available.
Ascreed depth of 60 to 90mm is recommended. The minimum depth
of polyamide box is 50mm, Series boxes can be adapted to take
ducts from 25 to 38mm. They can be manufactured to
accommodateducts up to 50mm heights on request. The boxes are
available in one, two, three or four compartments.
